Course Description
Maritime Resource Management (MRM) is a set of human factors and soft skills training aimed at the maritime industry.
MRM has proved to prevent accidents at sea caused by human and organisational errors , the most common contributing factors to maritime accidents.
Two main departments onboard a ship which are the deck department and the engine room department. Thus, MRM sometimes referred to as Bridge Resource Management and Engine-room Resource Management.
Course Aims and Objectives
To provide the participants who are involved in the operations and management of the vessel systems such as the bridge team and the engine room team.
- Clarify the objectives of Bridge Resource Management.
- Understand that communication is a crucial element that causes lots of problems.
- Know the resources available to a mariner that will be used for safe shipboard work.
- Study the decision-making process, which is, for sure, the most important and responsible task.
- Find out the role of teamwork is fundamentally vital for everyday vessel`s activity.
Course Assessment
There are altogether 20 randomized questions for the course assessment. You have to answer ALL questions within 30 minutes.
Your assessment result will appear upon clicking the “Submit” button.
Passing score is 70%. You have unlimited number of re-take to clear the passing score.
